Today was the first real spring day I've seen in a while, so I whipped out my leggings and shorts and my hot pink nail polish from Sinful Colors. Truth is, I really hate the formula of this pink, but it works well with a top coat. With the Flakie polish on top my nail are almost glowing. I am loving this.
What color gets you excited for spring?

I used to use a lot of nail polish until I read that the toxins are absorbed into the bloodstream, so no more for me.
ReplyDeleteWhoa! Your nails look so bright! But I love them-perfect for summer xoxo
ReplyDeleteI really like that color for spring and summer, these shades of fushia or pink with blue undertones have been extrmely popular now for several summers in a row. So i think the fushia trend will continue, i like that color a lot i have some bottles of similar colors as well. Very pretty manucure.
ReplyDeleteactually there has been a lot of news lately about lead in makeup, especially lipstick and people think its topical you only put foundation on your face or powder, or whatever but it absorbs into your skin, nails kind of are a protective barrier and wont penetrate like skin products containing aluminum lead and other harmful toxins. And i only started noticing these articles when i put a beauty news feed widget That updates daily with news about beauty products on one side column, and it concerned me, and i started through my makeup at the ingredients listed as toxic, and especially for lipsticks because you put that on your mouth and you eat or drink, its ingested into your system so thats something even more important to watch out for there is an artcile i put up about 10 toxic chemicals in beauty products. And I think its good to be conscientious when it comes to this, however i think that the nails are protecting the skin so absorbtion is not as much a worry as absorbtion of products directly put on the skin and especially in terms of lipstick where you would wear that wherever you go and eat while its on and ingest it by wearing it all day. And you have to also wonder if its a formula that lasts 24 hours or 16 hours, what chemical would that be that would make it last that long.... cant be organic....
