In Class: Skeletal Hand

Well, HELLLLLO LADIES!
It’s been quite a while since I have posted, because I haven’t really done much for swatches or hauling, but I wanted to start a new series here on the site called “In Class” where I share the stuff I’ve been doing in school. I will sometimes do little tid-bits of my work from class along with theory stuff if it’s something that helps you guys out there 🙂

Since it’s fairly early on in the Term, we’ve only just started application of makeup, and right now we’re working with Mehron Paradise Colors black and white to get a good idea of bone structure of the hands and face (I didn’t get a chance to get a picture of my skull). This is to help understand the “Chiaroscuro” is suppose which is basically adding highlight and shadow to a 2D painting etc. to make it into a 3D image.

The water colors, are sort of a beginner level of blending and shading, because they’re easy to work with and remove.

(I did swatches of the Paradise palette I own, so you can check that out over here if you want.)

The picture of the top, is obviously my work on my friends hand in class, and the bottom is a blurry picture of us together being goofy (lol!)
